With Love

Good evening all

Well I don't know about you but all of these Bank Holidays and extra holidays (thanks William & Catherine!) have meant I've been working alternate days and it's got my head spinning!

Tonight's card is in keeping with the excitement of spring and the Royal wedding and the colour scheme reflects it too with red (although it looks orange on my picture!), white and blue to show my patriotism and fresh green for spring :o)

All of the I've used papers were from a magazine freebie - I love the Cath Kidston look that they have, paper flowers from my Mum's stash (because they matched) and a new Forever Friends stamp which I've had a while but not used yet. The flower centres are white buttons with silky / fluffy ribbon / fibres threaded through and of course I have added fairy dust to the brides veil and coloured the image with Promarkers.

I'm entering it into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge #139: Fluffy http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/2011/04/cupcake-139-fluffy-bunnies.html

Forever Friends: Sketch http://foreverfriendschallengeblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/sketch-sponsored-by-crafts-u-love.html

Kaboodles Doodles #64: Here Comes The Bride http://kaboodlesdoodles.blogspot.com/2011/04/challenge-64-here-comes-the-bride.html

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone, I'm off work tomorrow, Friday and Sunday so have time for more crafting - although I really need to tidy my crafty space and will of course be glued to the tv on Friday for the wedding of William and Catherine!

Sweet Treats and Easter Wishes

Hi Bloggers

I hope you are all taking advantage of the wonderful sunny weather on this long weekend - I have to work tomorrow and Monday but it's beautiful out there today!

I have popped indoors from the sunshine to make this post as I'm hoping not to miss the Crazy4Challenges quest this week which is to make an Easter gift. My family have not exchanged chocolate eggs for a few years now but I wanted to make a little something for my Mum so came up with this...

I thought it was a good way to use up some of my little bits of stash. The template was a magazine freebie from absolutely ages ago but I'm glad I kept it as the box was so easy to make.

I've decorated it with a stamped sentiment alongside two Meljens Designs digital sentiments (coloured with Promarkers) paper flowers and brads from my stash and some sticky ribbon from the last DoCrafts goody bag.

The little flowers on the inside flaps were punched from the main paper and adhesive gems added to the centres.

My Mum loves butterflies so I hope she loves this, especially the treat inside!
My job for tonight is to make a significantly less girlie one for my Dad!!

I'm entering my little gift box into the following challenges:

Quick Post!!

Morning Bloggers! I'm running very late with my challenge card today so this is a brief post so I don't miss another deadline!

I had wanted to enter this into the Passion for Promarkers Challenge but have missed it - oops! I really must invest in more Promarkers so that I can get into shading instead of just the flat colour image I have at the moment.

I've used my gorgeous Anya stamp and paper pieced her umbrella. The pink card is from my stash and I have put it through a paper crimper which I saved from my Aunts rubbish bin! The yellow papers and bow are all from the new Papermania Lemon Capsule Range and the flowery sticker border was included in the recent DoCrafts Goody Bag as well.

Anyway, must dash got to link up! Creative Card Crew: "April Showers" http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/2011/04/april-showers-with-simon-says.html

Spring has sprung!

Hello bloggers, what lovely spring weather we are having at the moment (a bit windy but the sun is shining!) I was off work yesterday and took my challenge inspiration from the gorgeous daffodils in my garden. They are one of my favourite flowers and I love it when the sun shines on them!

I've not used this stamp for ages - in fact I knew it was the one I wanted to use for these challenges but I thought I'd lost it and it took me forever to find it (buried in my box of ribbons), the papers are from the new Papermania capsule collection (as are the buttons) and the stamp was a magazine freebie.

I'm entering it into the following challenges:
