Another month flying by

I can't believe another month is going by in the blink of an eye!  I have been home from Cyprus a month and already it seems Autumn has arrived with a vengeance - shorter days and a distinct chill in the air, not to mention more frequent mentions of the dreaded "C word" (Christmas ~shudder~)

I normally try to start my Christmas crafting in September but I've not quite managed it this year, never mind, I got 2 bunnies posted last week and I'm getting a run on the chocolate orange covers before I do a couple more rabbits, a jelly fish and if I can, some jewellery.

I'm still editing my Cyprus pictures - playing with apps helps the commute to work go a bit quicker!

I particularly like this one made with a number of different ones (Dash of Colour, Prisma and Instagram) of the beautiful chapel at Ayia Thekla ...

Still wish I had the time and knowledge to edit my pictures properly but these apps are so good they're making me lazy!

There must have been a wedding there just before we arrived as there was confetti on the ground and I found a little confetti cone which had been forgotten and thought it made a nice picture ...

It's no wonder our friends Jill and Simon come up here to take wedding pictures, it's so beautiful.  Have a look at their stunning work here ....

I love their pictures and have said for a long time if I ever get married I want them to do our photos (not that there's any chance of it happening, but a girl can still dream can't she?)

Back in the real world, it's been a bit of a nightmare week for us, my dad fell on Thursday and managed to fracture, break AND dislocate is left wrist!
We always do things properly in our family without hesitation lol
He's been in and out of hospital every day waiting for an operation to fit a plate around his wrist to keep the bone together and it was finally done yesterday so he can now get on with healing before he starts physio ...

HUGE thanks go out to the neighbours who have rallied around and helped out with lifts from the hospital.  He's got a long way to go but thankfully he's now on the road to recovery instead of being in limbo.
Continuing on the hospital theme, I was at the musculoskeletal clinic this morning for my knee and am now awaiting an appointment for an MRI scan on it - never rains, it pours lol

On a much happier note, I met up with my friend Kate and her gorgeous daughter Tess at the weekend for a girlie morning of brunch and Snowdog hunting.  The north east currently has an art installation across the region for St Oswald's Hospice based on the Raymond Briggs story of the Snowman and the Snowdog - there are adaptations literally all over the place!

My friends' dad has designed two but I've only managed to meet Essence of the North so far (Luna is over in Sunderland)

And finally...
A MASSIVE shout out to my friend on the other side of the world Janette.
I know she's a reader of my little ramblings (at least I know there's one!) and she wrote some lovely words and promoted my crafty bits and bobs on her business page this week.  It's so lovely to know that even though she's so far away my creations make her smile.

Keep smiling peeps xxx
