Happy New Year

I can't believe how quickly the holidays have passed and everything is getting back to some sort of normality. Despite having almost 2 weeks off and not venturing out in the snow very often, I didn't do any crafting over the holidays which is disgraceful! Instead, I just relaxed, met up with friends and played endless hours on the Wii!

I didn't get a chance to post these pictures before the holidays - I bought my Mum tickets to see the dancer Brendan Cole as a Christmas present and gave them to her in this "Save the Date" card - she was absolutely delighted and asked me to go with her. It's this weekend so I'm getting excited for it already!! I must admit he is one of my favourites of the Strictly Come Dancing professionals so I can't wait!

And finally a bit of great news...... I have been offered a new job working as a Travel Consultant. It's for a company I have wanted to work for for many years but our circumstances have never matched up, until now. I was in town over the holidays with my friend to look for some flights for her and the directors asked to see me so I went up to their office and was back minutes later with a new job! The position I am in at the moment is temporary but I needed it desperately to get out of where I was before, to get a permanent job in the current climate is brilliant and to be working with great people in an industry I love is even better. So I came back to work yesterday and handed my notice in and should start my new role on February 1st.
